Croton lechleri is a member of the Euphorbiaceae family, commonly known as Dragon’s blood, Sangre de drago, or Sangre de grado. This tropical tree is native to the Amazon Basin in South America, especially Peru and Ecuador. The medicinal part primarily used is the red latex sap extracted from the bark.
