Anacyclus pyrethrum, belonging to the Asteraceae family, is commonly known as Pellitory root, African pyrethrum, Spanish chamomile, and Akkalkara. The plant is indigenous to Mediterranean, North Africa, and Southwest Asia. The root is the primary part used medicinally.
