Agaricus blazei, belonging to the family Agaricaceae, is a medicinal mushroom native to Brazil and cultivated widely in Japan and Southeast Asia. Commonly known as Almond mushroom, Royal sun agaricus, or Himematsutake, its fruiting bodies are used for therapeutic purposes.
