Forsythia suspensa (fructus) belongs to the Oleaceae family. The medicinal part used is the dried fruit, commonly known as Weeping Forsythia Fruit or Lian Qiao in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is native to East Asia, particularly China and Korea.
